Trade-in allows customers to receive an Amazon.com.au Gift Card from a third-party company, NorthLadder, in exchange for trading in their old devices. The process is easy and convenient with the option of getting an Amazon.com.au Gift Card right away for the Trade-in value offered.

Create your Trade-in order on NorthLadder’s website by providing your device details and selecting a price quote as per the condition of your device
Choose for an Instant Amazon.com.au Gift Card against your credit Card details (for any differences against the declared device details) or get your Gift Card after we evaluate your device
NorthLadder’s courier partner will pick up your device from home and deliver it to our QC facility for evaluation.

The Trade-in program is available to customers with a valid return address in Australia. NorthLadder does not accept Trade-ins with Amazon Lockers or PO boxes as a default return address, or from return addresses outside of Australia.

There are three different grades that determine the condition of your phone or device: Flawless, Average, and Broken but working. These grades are based on the appearance and functionality of your device. It is important to accurately understand the condition and features of your phone or device to ensure a smooth and efficient process, as the condition of the device will affect the offered price.
For instant Amazon Gift Card (GC) option, you will receive the Gift Card instantly against a credit card hold. This allows you to use the GC immediately and upgrade your device faster.
For delayed Amazon Gift Card (GC) option, you will receive the Gift Card once the device has been received, appraised, and the final trade-in offer has been accepted by you. It may take up to one week to complete the process.
Once you have accepted the final trade-in value, you will receive Amazon Gift Card instantly.
NorthLadder will only ask for your credit card details if you choose the instant Amazon Gift Card option. Your credit card details will only be hold securely with us until your device is evaluated. Your credit card will only be charged if you do not send the trade in device or there’s a difference in the device condition upon evaluation to what you have declared to us.

As pert of the terms of trade-in program, verifying your identity is a mandatory step to process your device evaluation. If we do not receive your identity verification within 5 days of sending the Veriff email, your trade-in order will be auto cancelled.
If your order is cancelled and you choose instant Amazon Gift Card, your credit card will be charged for the value of the gift card issued. If your order is cancelled and you would like your device returned, a $15 fee will apply.

After creating your trade-in order, please unlock or deregister your device from cloud services (if applicable) before sending it in. Unlocking from cloud services and performing a factory reset is required for all iOS and Android device trade-ins.

Once you confirm your request to trade in your phone or other device, you will receive an email containing a detailed printable label and a unique 13-digit reference code.
After you have prepared your device for trade in, pack your device, attach the provided label into the box, and have it ready for collection.
Once the courier collects your device and it reaches us, we will evaluate the device. Once completed, you will receive an email with the final trade-offer and a detailed evaluation offer for you to accept or reject.

Option 1: Courier pick-up with instant Amazon.com.au Gift Card – If you accept the final offer price from NorthLadder for your device and it is lower than what you accepted when submitting the Trade-in request, the difference between these two amounts will be charged to your credit card and the remaining balance hold on your credit card will be released. If the final offer price is the same as the price you accepted in the Trade-in request, the credit card hold will be released for the full amount. If you don’t accept the final offer price from NorthLadder, the device will be returned to you and you will need to pay NorthLadder a $15 shipping fee for the return and an amount equivalent to the value of the Amazon.com.au Gift Card you received will be charged by NorthLadder to the credit card provided.
Option 2: Courier pick-up with Amazon.com.au Gift Card after appraisal – If you accept the final offer price from NorthLadder for your device, you will receive an Amazon.com.au Gift Card for the value of the final offer price. If you don’t accept the final offer price from NorthLadder, your Trade-in request will be cancelled and the device will be shipped back to you and you will need to pay NorthLadder a $15 shipping fee for the return.
Option 2: Courier pick-up with Amazon.com.au Gift Card after appraisal – If you accept the final offer price from NorthLadder for your device, you will receive an Amazon.com.au Gift Card for the value of the final offer price. If you don’t accept the final offer price from NorthLadder, your Trade-in request will be cancelled and the device will be shipped back to you and you will need to pay NorthLadder a $15 shipping fee for the return.
Once your device arrives at NorthLadder’s evaluation facility, a thorough assessment is conducted to determine its condition. The revised price is based on this detailed evaluation, which considers key factors such as screen quality, body condition, battery health and overall functionality.
After the evaluation is completed, we will email you the evaluation report along with the revised price offer. If you accept the new price, please confirm your acceptance using the link provided in the email. Should you decide not to proceed with the revised offer, you can reject the price quote through the same link, and we will arrange to return your device after the return fee is paid.

No, once NorthLadder receives the device and has started processing your trade-in and the transaction is final, the trade-in device cannot be returned. However, if you do not agree to the final trade-in value post assessment of the device, you can request NorthLadder to cancel the order and return your device once you have paid AUD 15 as return shipping fee.
